my tasty creation!

Since we are going over to Emery's brothers house tomorrow I decided to make a patriotic dessert. I have never made a trife before, but I have had it and they are so tasty, so I thought it would be fun to try. So I went out a bought a trifle bowl and got the stuff to make it. It is a strawberry and blueberry trifle with angel food cake, vanilla pudding and whipped cream. I think it turned out really good and I am so proud of it...because those of you that know me, know that I don't cook or anything. Happy 4th of July everyone!

The new baby and such

Holy cow, where has time gone!

Our little baby boy, Cameron, was born almost 2 months ago! He was born May 16th and was 2 and a half weeks early...which I must say I didn't mind. The delivery was really smooth. I got to the hospital at about 6 in the morning and he popped out at 8...super fast! He had a little trouble with his lungs, but we were able to take him home from the hospital on time, which was great. I was so thankful for my parents making the trip down from Portland, they were a lot of help and it is always so good to see them. My visiting teachers were awesome too! And a couple other girls from the ward brought Cameron gifts! I am really starting to like my ward as I get to know more people. I am still super shy and I think people assume that I am snobby, which is so not true, but I hope I make more friends in time.

So Cameron is basically the best baby ever...he sleeps a ton and only cries when he is hungry...Morgan cried all the time and I am pretty sure she had Colic. But anyways, I am loving my little family. I am so happy with just the two kids and I know some people probably don't think I am having enough, but it is right for me.

So...I have decided to get breast reduction surgery...it's probably not something you go telling people, but it's not like anyone won't be able to tell when one day they are half the size, lol. I think it will be such a great thing! Most people want to go bigger, but I will be so much happier when they are smaller...less pain in my back and more self confidence. I go in for my surgery August 3rd and I can't wait! My mom is coming to help me out, which is awesome.

Morgan is getting so big...she is sleeping in her big girl bed now! We just have a twin bed in her new room and when I tell her it is time for bed she just climbs on in and loves it! It kind of makes me sad though...I don't want my little girl to grow up!

I had an interview at the Best Buy in Orem, since I can't work at the American Fork store with Emery. I think it went really well and I am supposed to hear back by Saturday. I hope I get the job...we really need the money. If not I will have to find something else, but no one is hiring.

Well, that is really about it for now. Saturday is the 4th of July and we are going to have a cookout at Emery's brother Curtis' house, which will be fun. Then on Sunday we are having the baby blessing and the fam is coming to our house afterwards for a bbq...well actually at the park by our house, cause we don't have enough room in our house for all of them, but I still have a lot of cleaning to do, cause I am sure they will want to come in.

Well, that is all for now...I will try to be better about updating!

Getting Closer...

Ok, so I haven't updated the blog in FOREVER! I am only a little over a month away from giving birth to our little boy...I am so excited and nervous. I am not worried about the whole labor part, since I have been through that before and know what to expect, but it will be a huge learning experience having two kids to take care of at the same time. I know it will be fine though.

We went up to Oregon and had a pretty good time. My family threw me a baby shower, which was fun. We went to Multnomah Falls and the beach. I love the beach, even when it isn't warm it is so pretty!

Emery's family threw me a baby shower too, which was nice. We went to lunch at this cute restaurant that used to be a mill. Between the two baby showers, this kid has lots of cute stuff!

Not a lot has been happening lately. I got the flu, which was terrible...and now I am sick again with a cold...I apparently have a terrible immune system. Easter was fun cause we took Morgan to her first Easter Egg Hunt. It was so cute, but it was crazy how fast everything was gone!

I have been trying to get some exercise to keep in shape a little bit. I go on walks almost every day. There is this track/park by our house that is perfect cause Emery runs around it while I push Morgan in the stroller and Gary can run all over the place. I can't wait to lose weight this time around. Last time i just had no motivation. I have gained about 30 pounds, which is much better than the 50 from when I was prego with Morgan. I am guessing I will have gained 40 by the time baby comes.

6 months and counting

I am now 6 months into this pregnancy and it is exciting to know that there are only about 3 1/2 months until we get to meet our little boy! My tummy is getting bigger as you can see in the picture. I am trying to stay in shape at least a little bit by working out on the elliptical we just bought. I'm also trying to eat healthier. Emery is working out really hard and doing really well on his diet...I'm so proud of him! I can definitely see a difference already...he is gonna get all buff and tough, lol.

Yesterday was Valentine's Day, which was pretty good. We went out to dinner and I had steak and lobster, which was soooo good! Then we watched Slumdog Millionaire, which was a really good movie and I highly recommend it.

Today I got a new calling in church...I am now the Relief Society secretary. I am actually really excited about it, cause it will give me a chance to get to know all of the other women in my ward. Since Emery and I were teaching primary for so long we never got the chance to know any of the adults, so it will be a nice change of pace.

Morgan is getting so big...she isn't my little baby anymore! She runs around all over the place and is getting so smart! I love her soooo much!

And the gender of our baby is...

A boy! We are having a boy...which is really exciting and I am so happy Emery will get to have his little football buddy! We both were totally expecting a girl so it was kind of a surprise. I am just so happy cause now we will have a boy and girl and I can be done having kids...yay! My BFF Danielle is having a boy a month or so before me, so that will be fun. I am kind of nervous, since I am not used to boys...I only had a sister. But I'm sure it will be great. I can't wait for him to play sports and everything...yay!

Holiday Fun!

So I am really bad at blogging. I just always forget about it, but I don't think anyone actually reads this anyway, lol. Maybe it will be one of my New Year's resolutions to blog more.

The holidays have come and gone, which is sad cause I LOVE the holidays! Thanksgiving was pretty good. We had some good food, but we weren't able to stay long because Emery had to be at work the next day to suffer through Black Friday.

My family came to visit for Christmas and it was awesome! There was so much snow and it was nice having a white Christmas. I had the house decorated pretty cute and Emery made a great Christmas dinner...for those of you that don't know-I don't cook. A few days before Christmas we all made and decorated sugar cookies, which is something I want to do every year as a tradition. I wanted to go skiing, but since I am pregnant that wouldn't have been a good idea.

Speaking of the pregnancy...we find out what we are having in 5 days! I can't wait! I don't care either way, but it will just be nice to know. Emery wants a boy of course...especially since this will most likely be our last.

New Years was very uneventful. We played video games and barely stayed awake till midnight...we are getting old!

We are no longer going to be teaching the 10 year olds in church, which makes me kind of sad, but it will kind of be a relief at the same time. I wonder if we will get another calling...I kind of just want to go to the church meetings, so hopefully we don't get another class or something.

Well, I guess I will put a few pics on here from Christmas!

back from Oregon

So it has been a while since I have updated the blog. The trip to Oregon went pretty good, except Emery couldn't go. There was a problem with the inventory stuff, so he had to stay here and figure things out.

Halloween was pretty fun. Morgan was a skunk and I dressed up as a flapper. My sister went with me to a party at my friend Ryan's house. It was kind of boring, but at least I got to see some friends.

We had a birthday party for Morgan at Chuck E. Cheeses. We ate pizza and had cake, but she was scared of the big mouse, lol. Emery was really sad he couldn't be there for her birthday. Danielle and Chris, Shelly and John, Mom and Dad, and my aunt Carol were there. My aunt Carol came down from Alaska to see us, which was good. Morgan got some nice presents.

While we were in Portland we also went to visit my Grandpa and his wife Millie. I went down to Western Oregon University to visit my sister and Morgan had a good time there. There was also a trip to the indian casino with mom and dad, which is always bound to happen when I come home...I love the buffet. I think that is about all I did, but it was a long two weeks away from home without Emery.

I haven't done much since I have been back. I still have morning sickness and I just wish it would go away. I made a doctors appointment for the first week of December. It will be nice to hear the heartbeat for the first time and make sure everything is going well.

We started decorating for Christmas already. It is my favorite holiday by far! We put up lights outside, but we still need more. I think we are going to be like Clark Griswold when we are older and always try to outdo the neighbors! I think we will put the tree up after Thanksgiving.

For Thanksgiving we are going up to Emery's parents house. It should be fun. There are going to be so many people there. My family is going to come here for Christmas and I am soooo excited. The last time they came for Christmas we were in the process of moving, so it wasn't great...now I have to redeem myself!
