6 months and counting

I am now 6 months into this pregnancy and it is exciting to know that there are only about 3 1/2 months until we get to meet our little boy! My tummy is getting bigger as you can see in the picture. I am trying to stay in shape at least a little bit by working out on the elliptical we just bought. I'm also trying to eat healthier. Emery is working out really hard and doing really well on his diet...I'm so proud of him! I can definitely see a difference already...he is gonna get all buff and tough, lol.

Yesterday was Valentine's Day, which was pretty good. We went out to dinner and I had steak and lobster, which was soooo good! Then we watched Slumdog Millionaire, which was a really good movie and I highly recommend it.

Today I got a new calling in church...I am now the Relief Society secretary. I am actually really excited about it, cause it will give me a chance to get to know all of the other women in my ward. Since Emery and I were teaching primary for so long we never got the chance to know any of the adults, so it will be a nice change of pace.

Morgan is getting so big...she isn't my little baby anymore! She runs around all over the place and is getting so smart! I love her soooo much!

And the gender of our baby is...

A boy! We are having a boy...which is really exciting and I am so happy Emery will get to have his little football buddy! We both were totally expecting a girl so it was kind of a surprise. I am just so happy cause now we will have a boy and girl and I can be done having kids...yay! My BFF Danielle is having a boy a month or so before me, so that will be fun. I am kind of nervous, since I am not used to boys...I only had a sister. But I'm sure it will be great. I can't wait for him to play sports and everything...yay!

Holiday Fun!

So I am really bad at blogging. I just always forget about it, but I don't think anyone actually reads this anyway, lol. Maybe it will be one of my New Year's resolutions to blog more.

The holidays have come and gone, which is sad cause I LOVE the holidays! Thanksgiving was pretty good. We had some good food, but we weren't able to stay long because Emery had to be at work the next day to suffer through Black Friday.

My family came to visit for Christmas and it was awesome! There was so much snow and it was nice having a white Christmas. I had the house decorated pretty cute and Emery made a great Christmas dinner...for those of you that don't know-I don't cook. A few days before Christmas we all made and decorated sugar cookies, which is something I want to do every year as a tradition. I wanted to go skiing, but since I am pregnant that wouldn't have been a good idea.

Speaking of the pregnancy...we find out what we are having in 5 days! I can't wait! I don't care either way, but it will just be nice to know. Emery wants a boy of course...especially since this will most likely be our last.

New Years was very uneventful. We played video games and barely stayed awake till midnight...we are getting old!

We are no longer going to be teaching the 10 year olds in church, which makes me kind of sad, but it will kind of be a relief at the same time. I wonder if we will get another calling...I kind of just want to go to the church meetings, so hopefully we don't get another class or something.

Well, I guess I will put a few pics on here from Christmas!

back from Oregon

So it has been a while since I have updated the blog. The trip to Oregon went pretty good, except Emery couldn't go. There was a problem with the inventory stuff, so he had to stay here and figure things out.

Halloween was pretty fun. Morgan was a skunk and I dressed up as a flapper. My sister went with me to a party at my friend Ryan's house. It was kind of boring, but at least I got to see some friends.

We had a birthday party for Morgan at Chuck E. Cheeses. We ate pizza and had cake, but she was scared of the big mouse, lol. Emery was really sad he couldn't be there for her birthday. Danielle and Chris, Shelly and John, Mom and Dad, and my aunt Carol were there. My aunt Carol came down from Alaska to see us, which was good. Morgan got some nice presents.

While we were in Portland we also went to visit my Grandpa and his wife Millie. I went down to Western Oregon University to visit my sister and Morgan had a good time there. There was also a trip to the indian casino with mom and dad, which is always bound to happen when I come home...I love the buffet. I think that is about all I did, but it was a long two weeks away from home without Emery.

I haven't done much since I have been back. I still have morning sickness and I just wish it would go away. I made a doctors appointment for the first week of December. It will be nice to hear the heartbeat for the first time and make sure everything is going well.

We started decorating for Christmas already. It is my favorite holiday by far! We put up lights outside, but we still need more. I think we are going to be like Clark Griswold when we are older and always try to outdo the neighbors! I think we will put the tree up after Thanksgiving.

For Thanksgiving we are going up to Emery's parents house. It should be fun. There are going to be so many people there. My family is going to come here for Christmas and I am soooo excited. The last time they came for Christmas we were in the process of moving, so it wasn't great...now I have to redeem myself!

I hate being sick

I have been sick sick sick lately. This has to be the worst part of being pregnant. Well besides after your epidural wears off and you are incredibly sore down there from an 8.5 pound baby coming out. But at least that pain goes away quicker and you can actually take medication to make you feel better. Morning sickness is terrible. I am almost positive this will be our last kiddo. Pregnancy is too hard on me and kids are too expensive. I mean a big family sounds great in theory, but in this day and age it is becoming more difficult. I already have to worry about raising two good kids in this crazy world.

So I went in to quit my job yesterday and was convinced to just take a leave of absence while I feel like crap. We will see if I ever actually want to go back.

We fly to P-Town in three days! I have been really looking forward to it. I talked to my friend Marchelle on the phone today and it made me excited to see my friends too. I just feel like they all think I am boring now that I have a kid. It is hard making that transition to adulthood. But I am very excited that my friend Danielle is prego and we will have our kids about a month apart. I still need to go see the Dr. but I am too cheap right now. Once i get back I will schedule an appointment.

Well, I must get back to watching football now!

I have some news...

I am pregnant again! It is pretty exciting! We have told our families, but I have only told one of my friends. I am waiting until I get up to Portland at the end of the month. They will all just think I am crazy anyway! It is a little scary, since our kids will only be about 17 months apart...but we will manage. I haven't been too sick this time around, but I am only at about 6 or 7 weeks. I do have a hard time sleeping, but I am tired all the time so it is weird.

Work is going ok. I am not sure if I like being a waitress or not...I don't love it, but I guess it isn't terrible. It will be nice to have some extra income though.

Fall is here and I am happy! It is time to start decorating...I got a couple things from the craft store today and I will post pictures once I get finished. I decided not to decorate for Halloween this year, since we won't be here for it. So it will just be Thanksgiving and Fall stuff. I am super duper excited to decorate for Christmas though, that is my favorite! Last year I picked up a bunch of things on clearance, so I should be good to go. I am really hoping that my family will be able to come down here for Christmas this year.

my new job

So, I got a job at Olive Garden! I will be a server and I am excited, but nervous cause I have never served before. It is a new restaurant opening up, so I have just been doing training this week and we open up Monday night! I have gotten to taste all of the dishes and learn about all the entrees and such. It should be fun...well for a job. It will be sad cause Emery and I will work opposite shifts and we won't see each other as much, but it will probably only be three or four nights a week.

Our trip to Portland is a month away and I am anxiously awaiting this little vacation. It will be so good to see the fam again...they will not believe how much the little one has grown!
