recent happenings

I started my new job and so far I love it! It is nice being able to get out of the house and have a bit of adult time. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE being with my kids, but it's just nice to have a little time away. I am only going to be working a few days a week, so it will be just right I think.

I have my surgery in less than two weeks!!! I can't wait. I am a little scared about the recovery, but I know it will be worth it.

The other day we went to an 80's party that Emery's work was having. We dressed up and had a good time. I made my hair as big as it could possibly get and wore leg warmers and neon colors...it was fun! Emery and Morgan dressed up too! Forgive how terrible I look in the last pic, but its the only one I had of Emery in his short shorts!
I also had to put up this picture of Emery and Morgan from when we went up to Logan. It was at the little zoo they have there.

And finally a pic of our smiling baby boy! It was taken with my crappy camera phone, but it is still cute. He is seriously the best baby ever! I can't wait till he gets a little older and more of his personality comes out!

New Job

I am officially a Best Buy employee! I will be doing merchandising for the media department part time. It should be good, we just need extra money right now really bad, so I will be working opposite shifts than Emery. It will suck being away from him all the time, but you gotta do what you gotta do.

This weekend should be fun. We are going to Seven Peaks on friday to go swimming and on Saturday we are venturing up to Logan to watch the UFC fight at Josh's place.

Well, that is all for now.

4th of July and Baby Blessing

We had a good 4th of July. We ended up going to Curt and Kathy's neighbors house for a bbq. There was lots of good food and we played some cards and watched fireworks. Morgan liked some of them, but some of the loud ones scared her a bit.
Sunday was Cameron's baby blessing. It was really nice and a lot of the family were able to come join us. We are so grateful for those who came because they made it even more special. I even bore my testimony in church, which was scary, but it felt good to do. After church we had a bbq in the park by our house. All the kids were able to play, while the adults were able to chat. It was perfect.
Here are some pics of our cute little boy on his blessing day...

my tasty creation!

Since we are going over to Emery's brothers house tomorrow I decided to make a patriotic dessert. I have never made a trife before, but I have had it and they are so tasty, so I thought it would be fun to try. So I went out a bought a trifle bowl and got the stuff to make it. It is a strawberry and blueberry trifle with angel food cake, vanilla pudding and whipped cream. I think it turned out really good and I am so proud of it...because those of you that know me, know that I don't cook or anything. Happy 4th of July everyone!

The new baby and such

Holy cow, where has time gone!

Our little baby boy, Cameron, was born almost 2 months ago! He was born May 16th and was 2 and a half weeks early...which I must say I didn't mind. The delivery was really smooth. I got to the hospital at about 6 in the morning and he popped out at 8...super fast! He had a little trouble with his lungs, but we were able to take him home from the hospital on time, which was great. I was so thankful for my parents making the trip down from Portland, they were a lot of help and it is always so good to see them. My visiting teachers were awesome too! And a couple other girls from the ward brought Cameron gifts! I am really starting to like my ward as I get to know more people. I am still super shy and I think people assume that I am snobby, which is so not true, but I hope I make more friends in time.

So Cameron is basically the best baby ever...he sleeps a ton and only cries when he is hungry...Morgan cried all the time and I am pretty sure she had Colic. But anyways, I am loving my little family. I am so happy with just the two kids and I know some people probably don't think I am having enough, but it is right for me.

So...I have decided to get breast reduction surgery...it's probably not something you go telling people, but it's not like anyone won't be able to tell when one day they are half the size, lol. I think it will be such a great thing! Most people want to go bigger, but I will be so much happier when they are smaller...less pain in my back and more self confidence. I go in for my surgery August 3rd and I can't wait! My mom is coming to help me out, which is awesome.

Morgan is getting so big...she is sleeping in her big girl bed now! We just have a twin bed in her new room and when I tell her it is time for bed she just climbs on in and loves it! It kind of makes me sad though...I don't want my little girl to grow up!

I had an interview at the Best Buy in Orem, since I can't work at the American Fork store with Emery. I think it went really well and I am supposed to hear back by Saturday. I hope I get the job...we really need the money. If not I will have to find something else, but no one is hiring.

Well, that is really about it for now. Saturday is the 4th of July and we are going to have a cookout at Emery's brother Curtis' house, which will be fun. Then on Sunday we are having the baby blessing and the fam is coming to our house afterwards for a bbq...well actually at the park by our house, cause we don't have enough room in our house for all of them, but I still have a lot of cleaning to do, cause I am sure they will want to come in.

Well, that is all for now...I will try to be better about updating!
