I love Christmas!

This is my peacock tree...I love it, but I wish I had a better/bigger tree.
The big peacock in all its glory! (there are little peacocks too)
Morgan is getting so dang big!
This picture was before Christmas, but it is cute anyway.

Christmas was so much fun! We went over to Curt and Kathy's for Christmas Eve and had a blast...there was lots of good food too! Then we had Christmas morning at our house and Morgan loved opening her presents. Next year will be even better cause she will understand the whole idea of Santa and everything. We went over to Curt and Kathy's again on Christmas day...I love spending time with them, they are so fun and their boys are so nice to Morgan and let her play with them! I even made a pie, which actually turned out pretty good. I have a bunch more pictures, but I am too lazy to upload them right now!

We are going up to Preston for New Years, but I don't know if we will be up there for New Years Eve yet. It will be good to see Emery's fam, since we don't get to very often.

Here is a picture of Morgan's room. I love it and wish it was my room, lol. It is not finished yet though. Kathy and her mom gave Morgan a little table and chairs that will match it perfectly. I need to get stuff for the walls too, but I really love it so far. It looks better in person, but you get the idea.

Sorry about the quality of the pictures, they are all on my phone camera.

Pumpkins

I have to say that I love fall! We took the kids to a pumpkin patch and had a great time. Last night we carved our pumpkins and Morgan had fun digging out the seeds of course! I am proud of my Utah Jazz pumpkin! We are so excited for Halloween and are having a little party at our house that night. If anyone actually reads this blog and wants to come let me know! The ward is also having a fall festival on Friday night, which should be fun. Oh, and it is snowing today...it's only October 27th!!!

I am the worst blogger

I haven't posted in a month! I really have the worst memory and always forget to update my blog. Not a lot has happened though. My sister came from Oregon to visit and we had a good time. We hiked Mt. Timpanogos, which nearly killed me...and we went to Lagoon, which was super fun! It was really good seeing her and I wish I was able to more often. Morgan loved seeing Aunt Shelly too!

I have been working 3 or 4 days a week at Best Buy. It is alright, I miss the fam when I am at work, but at the same time it is kinda nice to get away for a bit and make some extra money. I work with some fun people so it isn't terrible.

I start school tomorrow! I am taking online classes through Portland State University. I should be able to finish my degree by next fall if all goes as planned. It will just be a Bachelor of Science in Arts and Letters, but a lot of employers just look for a bachelors in general, so that should help. Plus if I decide to go on and complete a masters in something else i can.

Halloween is almost here! Is it bad that I already want to decorate? It is my second favorite holiday and I can't wait. We are going to have a halloween party at our house this year. I hope people come, cause it is going to be awesome...I hope.

Morgan is learning so many new words all the time! My favorite thing she says is when I put her in bed and she goes "shhhh, night mommy". It is the cutest thing ever! And Cameron is getting cuter everyday. I love being their mom!

FarmCountry

Today Emery had to work all night, so I decided to take the kids to FarmCountry at Thanksgiving Point. It was the last $2 Tuesday so I figured I would take advantage of it. It wasn't too exciting, but Morgan liked looking at the animals andthey even had pony rides. She hated waiting in line, but once she got on her pony she loved it and didn't want to get off!

Park City

I forgot to put up these two pics from our trip to Park City...my camera battery died so I wasnt able to take more unfortunately. We had a good time, it was a pretty drive and I bought a couple things at the outlet stores. I loved this purple peace moose we saw!

Dinosaur Museum

Today we went to the Museum of Ancient life in Lehi. They were having a two buck tuesday promotion, so we though it would be a great time to visit, since we had wanted to go for a while now. I am so glad we did cause it was pretty neat. They have the largest collection of dinosaur bones in the western hemisphere, which is awesome! Some of the dinosaurs were so big I couldnt believe it...it kinda made me wish they werent extinct. Morgan loved it too and they had a few special kid sections that were fun for her. Sorry, there are a lot of pics, but I just had to share them!
There were also some pretty gardens nearby that we took a few pics at.

surgery update

I am currently in the hospital recovering from my surgery. It went pretty smoothly. Once I woke up from the anesthesia it hurt pretty bad, but once they got the pain medication going it was much better. I am not even in any pain right now. I am worried for when I go home tomorrow morning, because the pain meds wont be as strong, so I have no idea how I will feel. But I am very happy that I made the decision to get the surgery. I am pretty swollen and all bandaged up, so I can't wait to see the results. I will have the bandages removed in a week, but I will still be swollen. I am so lonely at the hospital. My friend was able to watch the kids this morning and afternoon, but Emery had to go back home to take care of them. Well, the drugs are making me super tired, so I will try to post another update tomorrow.

Glitter Toes!

Ok, so not too much going on, but I did go to a glitter toes party. I guess they are pretty popular here in Utah, but I had never been to one before. Jackie, my friend from church, had a bunch of girls from the neighborhood over and we all got our toenails done. They are acrylic so they will last for two months or so, which is awesome cause I hate painting my toenails! It was so nice to have a girl's night. I am really bad at making friends, but all the girls are so nice and fun, so I hope I am able to do things like this more often!

In other news, I go in for surgery Monday morning. It is so close! I am a little bit nervous, even though I know it will be fine. I just hope I am not in too much pain.

Oh, and today I got some cute letters to go above my fireplace. I love them! I need to find something to go behind them cause the picture doesnt work, but I am just using it to cover up the outlets for now. Any ideas? I am thinking about putting a big mirror back there, but I am not sure. Here is a close up of one of the letters cause you cant really tell what they look like from the other pic.

recent happenings

I started my new job and so far I love it! It is nice being able to get out of the house and have a bit of adult time. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE being with my kids, but it's just nice to have a little time away. I am only going to be working a few days a week, so it will be just right I think.

I have my surgery in less than two weeks!!! I can't wait. I am a little scared about the recovery, but I know it will be worth it.

The other day we went to an 80's party that Emery's work was having. We dressed up and had a good time. I made my hair as big as it could possibly get and wore leg warmers and neon colors...it was fun! Emery and Morgan dressed up too! Forgive how terrible I look in the last pic, but its the only one I had of Emery in his short shorts!
I also had to put up this picture of Emery and Morgan from when we went up to Logan. It was at the little zoo they have there.

And finally a pic of our smiling baby boy! It was taken with my crappy camera phone, but it is still cute. He is seriously the best baby ever! I can't wait till he gets a little older and more of his personality comes out!

New Job

I am officially a Best Buy employee! I will be doing merchandising for the media department part time. It should be good, we just need extra money right now really bad, so I will be working opposite shifts than Emery. It will suck being away from him all the time, but you gotta do what you gotta do.

This weekend should be fun. We are going to Seven Peaks on friday to go swimming and on Saturday we are venturing up to Logan to watch the UFC fight at Josh's place.

Well, that is all for now.

4th of July and Baby Blessing

We had a good 4th of July. We ended up going to Curt and Kathy's neighbors house for a bbq. There was lots of good food and we played some cards and watched fireworks. Morgan liked some of them, but some of the loud ones scared her a bit.
Sunday was Cameron's baby blessing. It was really nice and a lot of the family were able to come join us. We are so grateful for those who came because they made it even more special. I even bore my testimony in church, which was scary, but it felt good to do. After church we had a bbq in the park by our house. All the kids were able to play, while the adults were able to chat. It was perfect.
Here are some pics of our cute little boy on his blessing day...
