I GOT IT!!!

I GOT THE JOB!!! I am so excited! I really wasn't sure if I would get it, cause the chances were kinda against me, but I am so glad I did. My training starts March 2nd, so I have a little bit of time to figure everything out. It sucks cause Emery is making me feel pretty guilty about it. Oh well, he is a turd and thinks all women should just be stay at home moms...that is just not going to happen, unless he wants to send his wife to the insane asylum. My parents are excited for me...probably cause they will get to take advantage of the flight benefits, lol.

On another note, I have been refinishing a dresser I got in the classifieds. It was only fifty bucks and it is really heavy solid wood and is actually good quality. I painted it white and bought super cute pink crystal knobs off of ebay. I will have to post pictures once I am done. I am also painting Morgan's bed white to match. Her room is so dang cute, I might just move in there. Now I just need to find a cute chandelier for cheap and I will be finished!

interview

So I went to the interview and there were about 300 people there! I couldn't believe it! So they broke us up into four rooms and we had the group interview. First was an information session, then we had to go up in front of the room and give a one minute speech about why we would be a good flight attendant. After that they posted a list of people who got to come back in for a face to face interview...and I was on it! In my room there were about 80 people and only about 20 made it to the next interview. I think I did well, but I won't find out for about a week. It was a long day and now I am just going to keep my fingers crossed!

Interview is tomorrow, I am nervous, that is all.

Fat, get off of me please.

I did it! I can fit into size 11 jeans again! Now you might be thinking "size 11? What a fatty." Well although I am no skinny minnie, I am almost 5'9" and have wide hips. This is what makes finding jeans difficult. They always seem to be too tight at the waist and too loose in the thighs/legs. If my hips weren't so dang big I could probably fit in a smaller size, but oh well. I am just happy that I can once again fit in the same size I wore in high school. Am I rockin a little bit of camel toe? Maybe, but they fit dangit! Just kidding, I would never wear jeans that tight, lol. I still have weight to lose and more importantly fat to get rid of. I know I should be more concerned about toning up my flabby body than what the scale is telling me, but I can't help it.

In other news, my interview is only a week away! I am so anxious, nervous, etc. Today I am going to get an outfit to wear, cause I don't really have anything that will work. I just wish Emery was more supportive. Is it really that selfish of me to want to do this? I know I need to be a good mom, but I don't think that having someone watch our kids two or three days a week will have a terrible effect on them. Maybe I am wrong, I don't know. I honestly think that if I do this I will be happier, and if I am happier I will be a better mom and wife. Emery thinks I am being selfish though, which makes me sad. Anyone have any opinions on this? Ok so there are only like 2 people that read my blog, but it is worth a shot.

New Years Resolutions

So I don't have a long list of resolutions, but I do have a couple.

First of all I would like to lose weight (typical girl resolution, haha). I started a diet yesterday. Basically I am not eating any fast food and I am just trying to eat healthy. Diets are so hard for me because I LOVE food! I am going to try really hard though, cause I want to go somewhere tropical for our 5 year anniversary in August, which means I will need to fit in a swimsuit.

My second resolution is to become a flight attendant, or at least get a job with an airline. I have always wanted to be a flight attendant since I was a little girl. I LOVE traveling and you can't beat free flights! I am going to an interview on the 21st so we will see what happens! The only problem with this plan is finding someone to watch the kids. There would be three weeks of training at the same time Emery works. He would be able to take one week of vacation, but I would still need to find someone for the other two. One of my church friends Jackie said that she might be able to help out, so we will see. But then after that I will still need someone to watch the kids two or three days a week. I guess I will just see if I get the job first! I guess there were 2-300 people at the last open house interview, so I am going to try not to get my hopes up!

My last resolution is to be better about going to all of church. It is really hard with Morgan, cause she doesn't want to sit still, but I need to just do it. It's also hard cause both Emery and I work a lot of Sundays, but our church just changed to 1pm, so it will actually be easier now!

Well, that is about it. I am going to try really hard at these and hopefully I succeed!

New Years Eve!

This New Years Eve was so much fun! We went up to Preston to see Emery's family and on New Years Eve we went over to Tracen and Teresa's house. Kathy and Curt were there with their boys, Grandma and Grandpa Winward, Me and Emery with Morgan and Cameron, and of course Teresa and Tracen with their boys. We ate lots of good food and us adults played a fun game called Dirty Minds. We got a bit picture crazy, so there are a lot of them! Us girls were having fun, but everyone else thought we were silly...oh well!
